Hello everyone! This month I’m experimenting with Nuvo Shimmer Powders and here is the first tutorial on the Pink and Paper Shop blog. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a pro, success is granted, you can’t mess it!
These Shimmer Powders contain mica powder and dry pigments. During use you have to carefully tap it and the color cavalcade is ready. Remember, you need just a small amount! :)
You can use this medium in many ways, now I will scatter it onto aquarelle paper. I will show you how.
I wet the aquarelle paper.
I tap the first color which immediately reacts with water. After this I wait a little for the color to unfold, then I continue with another color.
A few drops of water with water brush will help where the pigment didn’t dissolve, then I brush the whole gently.
I use the most vivid color and tap it again.
It has wonderful color and maybe it’s not visible on the photo, but it glitters beautifully!
Dried it with heat gun and cut it to card base.
I put the flowers from Willow Lane stamp to one corner, then after using the antistatic powder I stamped with Versamark watermark ink.
For the heat embossing I used Altenew Pure White embossing powder and I filled in the gaps between flowers with dots.
Finally only a short sentiment was needed. That’s it, the card is ready!
I highly recommend the Nuvo Shimmer Powders they are gorgeous and useful.
Thank you for stopping, I will wait for you next time too!
