Hello crafty friends, I am super excited about guesting at the Spellbinders blog with the new Jane Davenport Artomology collection. Today I am focusing on using Washi Tape Sheets and Smooth Markers. I love the underwater critters and the used color combo on the Mermaids Washi Sheets so I stepped out from my comfort zone and I built my card only from this product.
But first, just look at this amazing collection! I love these colors so much! Did you know that turquoise and teal colors are my favorites? I am totally in love with my new Deep Sea Diecut Machine too! Check out the full collection here!
First I made a 4,25"x5,5" card base. Peeled off the Washi sheet and adhered the white cardstock to the center of Mermaids Washi Sheets because I wanted to use the "Take a deep breath" sentiment.
When it was done I adhered the leftovers to the white cardstock and Fussy cut them. The next step was to build a scene. First I glued the mermaid and the squid in the background and the red squid tentacle. Also added a little shadow around them with Dodo and Gallinule Smooth Markers.
Then I adhered the underwater plant to the bottom right corner and shaded with Gallinule Smooth Marker. When it was done I adhered and shaded the large red Octopus to the center of my card. Finally I colored some bubbles with the Gallinule and Dodo markers to the background and highlighted with White pen.
Thank you for reading my post, I hope that I have inspired you! This week I will have another post on the blog, goodbye until then! Hugs, Mona
